Cheerful, glowing, white orb of light
dancing above my head
filling me with delight
always just out of reach
shine my star,
shine
burn bright
into the deep of the night
chase away the aphotic gloom
give way to felicity's bloom
frolick on, my sphere of wonder
illuminate all you brush through
and bring the world your sparkling dew
brilliant, radiant, benevloent ball of light
(how I love you with all my might)
carry on your ever upward flight
welcome message
Where imagination runs wild

Dear Men of the Internet:
Dear Men of the Internet:
Today a friend said to me "I just wish he hadn't been such an evasive jerk about it."
This is a sentiment that I have heard way to frequently, and to be honest that I have felt too frequently. This is me, a woman, asking you the male sex, to cut the crap. When you drag out bad news it kills us. We women are A LOT stronger than you seem to think.
If you decide that you just aren't feeling it, that you're not into it, then just say so. Its not a terrible thing, yes we may be a little hurt for a bit but we'll get over it. You know whats worse? Stringing us along for weeks, or months, or dare I say it years while we try our damndest to figure out "what does he want?"
I know that not all of you are guilty of it, and for the innocent I applaud you for being sparing of other's feelings. I know that women are often guilty of the same thing, ladies I'm ashamed of you - you're better than that.
It takes a feat of courage to let someone down, especially if you do care about that person/respect them but you just don't want to be with them. Letting us down doesn't make you a bad person, it happens to everyone and yeah its uncomfortable but when its not right its not right and then we can move on to the next thing. Keeping someone on the hook is one of the worst things you can do to a person's emotional well being. It drives people crazy.
As some of you know, I have a belief that How I Met Your Mother holds a good portion of the secrets to the universe for life love and happiness. One such amazing nugget of truth can be discovered in the 8th season: "Here's the thing about crazy: when a guy sends mixed signals to a girl it takes a toll on her psychological well being. If you wanna know why a girl acts crazy, look at the guy she's dating - then you really see crazy. Trust me." - Mike Tyson, Season 8 Episode 16: Bad Crazy
So guys (and girls), just bite the bullet and tell us "I think this is a bad idea", don't make the other person wait around until they can't stand it anymore and drag it out of you.
Sincerely,
M
